CANCER PROTECTIVE:

Nicotinamide DUO™ (NMИ, NR) has been shown to have a variety of effects on cancer including:

  • Breast cancer

A Chinese study found that NMИ can inhibit the growth and spread of triple negative breast cancer (TNBC), a common and difficult-to-treat form of breast cancer . NMИ also improved cancer survival rates in animal studies (source).

  • Lung cancer

A study found that high doses of NMИ can inhibit lung adenocarcinoma growth in vitro and in vivo (source).

  • Liver and pancreatic cancer

NMИ has been shown to prevent liver and pancreatic cancers in animal studies (source).

  • Skin cancer

NMИ-treated natural killer (NK) cells can reduce tumor growth in skin cancer in animal studies. NK cells are immune cells that kill cancer cells (source).

  • Radiation-induced intestinal fibrosis

NMИ can alleviate radiation-induced intestinal fibrosis by modulating gut microbiota (source).

NMИ has also been shown to increase cell viability by reducing cell damage, apoptosis, and increasing cell migration.

*Common Question: Why do you use a reversed И when saying NMИ? In some countries this particular NAD+ precursor is being reclassified as a prescription medication. To combat this we've developed our own proprietary blend that includes it, called Nicotinamide DUO. Using the reversed И is a trademark related precaution.

In an answer on Quora, Dr. Michael DiGiovanni confirmed he takes AEON. Dr. DiGiovanni is an Oncologist, who graduated from Yale School of Medicine. He Chairs the Breast Cancer Tumor Board, and is considered by many to be one of the Worlds leading experts on cancer.

Other Ingredients with cancer protective properties:

  • Quercetin

Studies have shown that quercetin can inhibit the growth of cancer cells in the breast, colon, prostate, ovarian, endometrial, lung, and other types of tumors. Quercetin may also reduce the development of blood vessels, which can inhibit tumor growth (source1), (source2)

  • Resveratrol

Resveratrol has been shown to have cytotoxic effects against many types of human tumor cells, including those from the breast, skin, cervix, ovary, stomach, prostate, colon, liver, pancreas, and thyroid. It can also increase the sensitivity of some cancer cells to chemotherapy agents, which may help overcome chemoresistance (source1), (source2).

  • Fisetin

Fisetin can be effective in preventing the development of many types of cancer without causing cytotoxic effects on non-cancerous cells. For example, studies have shown that fisetin can reduce the viability of cervical cancer cells and inhibit their invasion and migration. In mice, fisetin has been shown to prevent tumor formation and inhibit tumor growth (source).

  • Trimethylglycine (TMG)

TMG can increase the number of white blood cells, including lymphocytes, which can have an immunopotentiating effect (source).

TMG can also inhibit tumor growth and is considered a useful radioprotective agent in radiotherapy. TMG can also enhance the effect of 5-FU treatment, which can lead to a reduction in the number of tumors (source)

  • Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG)

EGCG, a polyphenol found in green tea, has shown antitumor properties in several types of cancer, including lung, bladder, esophageal, and breast cancer (source).

EGCG may inhibit cancer growth by:

  1. Inhibiting growth factors like EGFR and IGFR-1, which suppress tumor cell growth and metastasis (source).
  2. Reducing angiogenesis by suppressing VEGFR gene expression, which blocks tumor invasion and metastasis (source).
  3. Promoting cytotoxic autophagy by inactivating the PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway, which results in apoptosis induction (source).
  4. Increasing drug concentration in cancer stem cells (CSCs) by inhibiting the activity of transporters on the CSC membrane (source).
  5. Modulating the signaling pathways that govern carcinogenesis and cancer progression, such as MAP kinase (MAPK), phosphatidylinositol-3 kinase (PI3K), and nuclear factor κB (NFkB) (source).

    AEON 3.0 LIPOSOMAL LONGEVITY COMPLEX

    Ingredient Breakdown:

    Nicotinamide DUO™

Nicotinamide DUO™ is a proprietary NAD+ precursor developed by Perpetua.Life® that combines both popular forms Mono, and Riboside (80/20) in a powerful liposomal delivery matrix that has been shown to raise blood NAD levels up to 32% higher than using either alone.

Studies have shown that supplementing with NAD+ precursors restores NAD+ levels and prevents age-related physical decline (24)

For example, a study in aging subjects demonstrated that supplementing orally with Nicotinamide Mono prevented age-associated genetic changes and improved energy metabolism, physical activity, and insulin sensitivity (24B).

A 2019 study in 12 men with an average age of 75 showed that supplementing with up to 1 gram of Nicotinamide daily for 21 days increased NAD+ levels in skeletal muscle and reduced levels of inflammatory proteins in the body (25).

    Trans-Resveratrol + Piperine

Resveratrol is a polyphenol in grapes, berries, peanuts, and red wine that may promote longevity by activating certain genes called sirtuins. It has been shown to increase the lifespan of fruit flies, yeasts, and nematodes (42).

Effects of Resveratrol and other Polyphenols on Sirt1: Relevance to Brain Function During Aging (R4)

Resveratrol, an Nrf2 activator, alleviates aging-related progressive renal injury (R3)

Role of resveratrol in regulation of cellular defense systems against oxidative stress (R2).

Effect of resveratrol and pterostilbene on aging and longevity (R1).

Resveratrol improves oxidative stress and prevents the progression of periodontitis via the activation of the Sirt1/AMPK and the Nrf2/antioxidant defense pathways in a periodontitis model (R5).

Quercetin, caffeic acid and Resveratrol regulate circadian clock genes and aging-related genes in young and old human lung fibroblast cells (Q4).

Studies have shown that adding Piperine to Trans-resveratrol may increase it's absorption by up to 300% (P1).

    Quercetin + Fisetin

Fisetin and Quercetin: Promising Flavonoids with Chemopreventive Potential
    (F03).

Quercetin has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects which might help reduce inflammation, kill cancer cells, control blood sugar, and help prevent heart disease (Q1).

Quercetin: A functional dietary flavonoid with potential chemo-preventive properties in colorectal cancer (Q3).

Fisetin as an anticancer agent targeting the growth signaling pathways (F01).

Fisetin and Its Role in Chronic Diseases (F02).

Fisetin: A bioactive phytochemical with potential for cancer prevention and pharmacotherapy (F03).

    TMG + B6, B12, and B2

TMG has outstanding effects on controlling homocysteine levels in the blood. Homocysteine significantly increases around the middle stage of life, and it's linked to the development of heart disease and stroke.

In a breast cancer study, having more TMG in patients' diets was linked to fewer deaths from cancer [source].

In another study of more than 2800 lung cancer patients, high betaine intake was found to be protective against lung cancer [source].

A study including 193 senior citizens showed that an increase in TMG was linked to improvements in response time, memory, and brain function. People whose TMG levels went up the most also saw the most improvement in their memories [source].

Additionally, TMG is also being explored as treatment for other neurological disorders such as Alzheimer's disease [source].

    Astragalus

Astragalus membranaceus is a stress-reducing herb used in traditional Chinese medicine. It may help combat aging by reducing oxidative stress, promoting immune function, and preventing cellular damage (40).

Astragalus polysaccharide exerts anti-Parkinson via activating the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway to increase cellular autophagy level in vitro (A2).

    (T5).

    EGCG

Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) is a well-known polyphenol compound concentrated in green tea. It offers impressive health benefits, with research supporting its use to reduce the risk of certain cancers, as well as other health conditions like heart disease (91011).

Among EGCG’s diverse array of potential health-promoting properties is its ability to promote longevity and protect against age-related disease development.

EGCG may slow aging by restoring mitochondrial function in cells and acting on pathways involved in aging, including the AMP-activated protein kinase signaling pathway (AMPK).

It also induces autophagy, the process by which your body removes damaged cellular material (12).

EGCG intake has been associated with a reduced risk of all-cause mortality, diabetes, stroke, and heart-disease-related death. Plus, animal studies have shown that it can protect against skin aging and wrinkles caused by ultraviolet (UV) light (131415).

    Spermidine

Spermidine has anti-inflammatory and anti-antioxidant properties, and can also enhance respiration and metabolic function. Increased dietary spermidine intake is thought to reduce the risk of diseases like cancer, metabolic disease, heart disease and neurodegeneration [1].

It can also improve memory and slow cognitive decline, as autophagy clears Alzheimer’s-causing amyloid-beta plaques in the brain and can thereby be used to prevent memory loss in older people suffering from mild dementia [2].
